The most obvious link between Lymm and the car industry is the presence of Motorcare, a Mercedes- Benz authorised dealer, who have been based in Lymm since 1998. Not only is Lymm home to Motorcare, it is also the birthplace of a pioneering automotive innovation. In 2011, the town was the proud host of the first ever KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) car race on public roads.
