Halesworth is a town and civil parish on the River Blyth in the northern part of the Waveney district of Suffolk in England. The town is 22 miles (35 km) northeast of Ipswich and 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Southwold. It falls within the Suffolk Coastal local government district. History

Halesworth is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, where it is referred to as Haleswade. The book mentions that the land is owned by the Bishop of Elmham and is home to a mill and meadow.
